A Wish Come True

We first heard of Sunnie by chance in one of the many "Mom" groups here in the Charlotte area. A friend of her family wondered if there were any ladies that may want to help her do a complete room makeover for this sweet and spunky 11 year old little girl. Sunnie had been recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and she wanted a room makeover for her upcoming birthday. We jumped on board and worked with an amazing and talented group of business sponsors, volunteers and even Sunnie's school friends to make this happen! She was totally surprised and loves every part of the room. Her closest friends said they hadn't seen her that happy since before the diagnosis. Our hope is that this space brings her joy, healing, and respite as she is on her cancer journey. The photos are compliments of Andrea Brewer Photography. New carpet donated by M&M Flooring, Electrical work by Shel Co, organization provided by Organize by Julia, painting provided by Patti Conklin - with stripes done by our amazing volunteers. The most amazing part of this was that from the initial conversation to the installation was less than 4 weeks! I think my favorite part is the jar of notes from friends and family we included and the eclectic gallery walls. And man that fan chandelier combo fixture is pretty amazing too! This was a project Rachel and I were honored to be a part of. #sunniestrong.
